This high-quality 90-minute documentary is a compelling recount of how Donald Trump’s big lie evolved into the dangerous massive "Stop the Steal" movement that culminated in the January 6, 2021, failed Coup d’état.

NOTE: The events in the video are NOT narrated by Democrat, Libertarian, or Independent individuals, but mostly by the very Republican functionaries who were directly involved in Donald Trump's attempt to overthrow the elections that he had clearly lost.

ALSO, the TV or cable-news channel most cited in the video is NOT any of those “Liberal” News outlets like MSNBC, or ABC, or CBS, but the very right-wing, pro-Trump, organ of authoritarian propaganda known as FOX News.

The documentary also shows how some of those Republican officials and their families were the target of vile insults and death-threats from the part of those Maga Republicans who had already fallen prey to the flagrant lies of that wannabe-despot, Fascist demagogue, and had thrown away their rationality, their respect for the US Constitution and their respect for the American Democratic and Judicial Systems.

Sadly, three and a half years after J6, not many (if any) of those highly-mistaken Maga Republicans have come to their senses, meaning that the insurrection they supported in 2021 might have only been a dress-rehearsal for the insurrection they intend to support in 2024-25.

To paraphrase Greg Jacob, who was Counsel to Vice-President Pence in 2020-21 and is one of the Republicans who appear by the end of the video, putting once again the powers of the Presidency of the United States in the hands of someone as unfit and untrustworthy as Donald Trump might mean the end of the Republic. 

WARNING! We all know that Trump will NEVER concede defeat. We also know that Congressional Republicans are trying to change the voting rules in the State of Nebraska so that they may favor Trump if ever the results are near-tied there (see here), and we know that the Republicans in the Election Board in the State of Georgia are putting in place new requirements designed to delay and obstruct the electoral process in order to sow as much doubt and confusion as possible, so as to even send the final electoral decision to Congress or, ultimately, to the pro-Maga-majority Supreme Court if necessary (see here) (Remember G. W. Bush and the 2000 elections?).

Those guys are not joking. The way things are going, what you will see in this video could easily happen again when Trump loses in November, particularly the part about the fake electors and other similar pseudo-legal, pseudo-Constitutional ill-willed ruses of that kind, although a larger, more destructive reenactment of the J6 insurrection is conceivable in the offing.

THE QUESTION IS: Does the Harris camp already have a team of Constitutional and Campaign and Elections Lawyers contemplating any possible Republican maneuvers to flout the election rules or delay, obstruct, or invalidate the election results, so that when the time comes Harris' lawyers may already have prepared, double-checked, valid, convincing, legal arguments against those maneuvers? They better. These are NO normal times. The Democrats, in fact the whole country, can no longer afford to expect that the Republicans will play by the rules.

As for the rest of us, the best that for the moment we pro-Democracy, pro-rule-of-law Americans can do is make sure we cast our vote in November for the Harris-Walz ticket and for as many Democrat Senators and House-representative candidates as possible.

Anyone voting Republican is intentionally or ignorantly casting a vote against American Democracy and against the integrity of the Republic.
