Hey Trumpers, Shaking Things Up Never Meant F*****g Things Up.

Maga people were much more tired than the rest of us of the growing national econo-social inequality, so, in their resentment, anger, and frustration they voted for a scheming billionaire, convicted-criminal, sex-offender, insurrectionist, authoritarian demagogue who promised them to shake things up so that the country could be restored to an imaginary state of greatness where they, the Maga voters, would come out as "winners”.

Thus far, the outcome of that election couldn't look any farther away from that promise.

Before November 5, 2024, I would have agreed with ANY American claiming that socio-economic inequality in America was getting out of hand and that something radical needed to be done about it, but I would have never placed the destiny of the country in the hands of an utterly-unqualified, devious-minded, inveterate conman such as the current President.

In the view that I’ve held for the past 3 decades or so, the Democratic Party has abandoned the cause of the American working and middle-to-lower classes to the point where such abandoning amounts to a glaring betrayal. I’m a true believer in capitalism, but not of the excessive kind that America has embraced since the Clinton years.

Nowadays there is way too much attention in seeing that legislations and Supreme Court rulings place the interests of American capital way above the interests and the wellbeing of the American workers and the middle-to-lower classes. There has to be a balance between those two forces, but the efforts to find such balance have been drowned under the weight of an immeasurable, greedy thirst to accumulate capital in the hands of the few.

No doubt there have to be good incentives for investment and innovation in America, but NOT constantly at the expense of the wellbeing of the masses. And there’s where the Democrats have failed the American People time and again, as most elected Democrat officials are bought and sold to the interests of American capital.

Under this light, the way the Maga masses hace reacted to their plight is not entirely unjustified. At a very basic level, the socio-econo-political changes that they’re clamoring for are right. Where those Maga people have failed catastrophically is in the extreme method they propose to address those problems and, most importantly, in the corrupt leader they have chosen to implement those changes.

Even some of the most useful, state of the art innovations presently at our disposal can become lethal weapons if placed in the wrong hands. Just think of those deranged individuals who drive their cars into crowds of people or just think of those criminal pilots who flew a couple of airplanes into the twin towers on 9/11. Two of the most practical and useful means of transportation, cars and airplanes, can be transformed into instruments of death if placed in the wrong hands.

Similarly, the best intentions anyone may have to change things for the better can produce the wrongest of results if the implementation of those intentions is placed in the hands of corrupt, amoral, criminal individuals.

Yes, a system shake-up was and is really needed in America, but shaking things up never mean F*****g things up, and that’s exactly what the current administration has been doing since January 20th. Big time.

Is there anything YOU intend to do about it?
