On Second Thought, Let’em Have It! Giv’em a Full-Authoritarian System! Giv’em a Full-Trump!

According to his Cabinet picks, it looks like the Convicted-Felon in Chief really intends to do all those nefarious things he’s been promising he would do.

From my long-run “optimistic” International perspective, it looks like it might end up being good for the country if he goes full-Trump, meaning, full-authoritarian, full Project 2025, so that those blind Maga fools may really get to experience in their own skins what it is to live in a country where civil rights and civil liberties are eventually minimized down to barely-tolerable levels or less.

Let Trump dismantle his “deep state”, by which he means most of the American Democratic, Judicial, and administrative government apparatus, so that those Maga guys may get to know how it feels to live in a country like China or Russia, where the will of one man and his henchmen is the law of the land. (I have been twice to Moscow and once to St. Petersburg, Russia, and I have lived in 7 different Provinces in China)

My only hope is that they won’t bankrupt Social Security anytime soon, for if they ever did, millions of senior citizens like me might even be left to beg in the streets. Not that I think the Maga crowds would really care about it, but from my International perspective, it looks like having a full-Trump administration might be EXACTLY what the country needs.

Let those Maga fools have precisely what they voted for, a full-fledged authoritarian administration, as that may be the only way for them to ever get to appreciate the beauty of the Democratic and judicial systems they have so far enjoyed, that today they seem so eager to throw right down the toilet.

As an expat currently living in stable, peaceful, foreigner-friendly Vietnam, it is much easier for me to think all these things than it is for all those fellow Americans who live in the US, as they are the ones who will suffer the painful consequences directly on themselves, but just as everybody gets ready on the east coast whenever a tropical storm is approaching, we should all just brace for the next four years as well, and face it all head-on.

We all know that going full-Trump is going to be a tough, harsh, even ruthless medicine to swallow, but we also know that it was us, the American people, who prescribed such medicine to our own selves.

Even if we didn’t vote for Trump, whether we like it or not, be it because of our complacency, our overconfidence in the mythical resilience of the United States, any irresponsible distrust in American politics, or any devil-may-care attitude, we all bear responsibility for Trump’s win.

Yes. All of us. You and I. We, the American people. We have wilfully put ourselves in this predicament. Us. Nobody else. So, hey Trump! Let the country have it! Giv’em exactly what they voted for. Giv’em a full authoritarian administration! Giv'em a full-Trump!

Maybe that’s the only way in which those mistaken Maga Republicans will ever come to understand that, regardless of how imperfect the American Democratic and Judicial systems may be, together they are still part of one of the best possible alternatives to any other systems of government that may exist or may have ever existed.
