A Senile Man Gambling with the Future of American Democracy.

To prepare for the debate, Joe Biden sequestered himself for a whole week at Camp David surrounded by many advisers including Bob Bauer, his personal lawyer who played the part of Trump during the mock debates.
The obvious question we have to ask ourselves is, what the hell did those guys do at Camp David? Did they just sit around to praise Biden regardless of any signs of senility he might have shown? Did Bob Bauer stupidly and misleadingly impersonate a soft-spoken, hesitant Trump during the mock debates?
Were there any of those advisors by Biden’s side up to the last minute before the debate to make sure the President was upbeat and ready to argue his points with virility? Whoever were the counselors who spent that week at Camp David with Biden, they are all seriously responsible for his catastrophic performance, but not entirely.
Biden has been actively engaged in politics for 52 years, 36 of them in the Senate. This means he’s supposed to know by heart how to play the game, even as American politics are much more confrontational and tougher today than they were just 20 years ago.
He’s also supposed to be totally aware that his physical and mental abilities are no longer as sharp as they were when he was first elected Vice President. And it is regarding this point that I see Biden’s performance as unforgivably irresponsible.
Biden was NOT there to debate Trump in his capacity as a private citizen. He was there to defend the future of American Democracy, for that is what’s at stake in this election.
Just think about it for a moment, if that morally-degenerate Trump gets to win in November, it can easily mean that the 2024 elections may end up being the last legitimate Democratic elections in the history of the United States, particularly now that the Supreme Court has largely granted royal immunity to the presidency.
We are currently living a very decisive moment in US history and, for better or worse, the future of American Democracy now rests largely in the hands of the Democratic Party. But the Democratic Party is itself at a crucial crossroads too, as their leader, the President of the United States, keeps showing alarming signs of senility while his ego doesn’t allow him to consider stepping aside and letting someone else run for president.
As expected, Biden’s family won’t ask him to quit the race, namely because they don’t want to lose their privileged status as the closest relatives of the President of the United States. Something similar goes for Obama, the Clintons, and many others of those who encourage Biden to stay in the race.
If they propose that someone else should run for president and that someone else loses in November, they don’t want to go down in history as the ones who helped send the United States down the rabbit hole of authoritarianism.
The Democratic Party is playing today a pivotal role in the country's quest to protect our Democracy, but the leader of the Party, Joe Biden, no longer seems to be up to the task. So, the question now is, should he stay in the race, or should he step aside?
For better or worse, and regardless of whatever the rest of us may think or wish, that decision is only Joe Biden’s and Joe Biden’s alone. That said, regardless of what decision he might opt for, I intend to vote anti-Trump in November come hell or high water.
May the universal forces grant Joe Biden the necessary wisdom to figure out what is the best course for the nation to follow.
