Barking at the Wrong Tree.

When will all those pro-Democracy Americans in positions of power start blaming the real culprits for the dire sociopolitical situation the United States is presently in? When will they gather the necessary guts to loudly and publicly place the responsibility for the dangerously polarized national circumstances on the shoulders of those who really are responsible for it!? When will they openly accept that the real threat to the stability of the nation is NOT Donald Trump per se!!?

It isn’t difficult to see that Trump is just a lone, insidious, deranged megaphone, vomiting hateful, racist lunacies, and anti-American falsities. But we can also see that without his Maga quasi-religious believers he would only be a raving clown, blabbering a bunch of nonsense to the wind. Influential pro-Democracy Americans are perfectly aware of that fact, yet, they just continue appearing on TV talk shows or continue writing opinion pieces in reputable Newspapers reciting the same, anodyne, worn-out, litanies meant to expose and criticize Trump’s vulgar, unacceptable behavior, all of it to no avail.

After everything that has thus far been seen, said, and done, it is evident that the Maga hordes are NOT RATIONAL PEOPLE. Obviously, the rules of the dangerous games they’re playing don’t follow the same ethical and moral standards that the rest of us abide by. This means that no effort to wake them up from their delusion using anti-Trump arguments based on logic, rationality, or any common-sense principles of decency will ever work.

Theirs is a quasi-religious, emotional, messianic fervor to their Führer, comparable only to the deep fanaticism the Germans and the Italians professed to Hitler and Mussolini respectively during the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. Continuing to openly criticize Trump’s behavior in the way most pro-Democracy individuals are doing, won’t in any way alleviate the situation. It will only go on feeding that guy’s unquenchable thirst for attention.

The Maga masses have to be publicly addressed directly and have to be constantly brought to face their ultra-flawed anti-Democracy stance. Influential pro-Democracy, pro-rule-of-law Americans, including primarily Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, have the patriotic duty to try to make them see the fatal error they have fallen in.

There’s no need to belittle them or humiliate them, after all, as mistaken as they may be, they are Americans too, and for that simple, yet important, reason, they deserve special consideration. But such consideration does NOT in any way involve allowing them to destroy the United States as we know it.

The Maga masses have to be publicly warned of the dire national consequences their blind, fanatical, irrational fervor to their false messiah entails. To that effect, the pro-Democracy media needs to stop concentrating mostly on denouncing Trump’s destructive, unacceptable behavior, as such efforts have already proven to be just a waste of time and money.

They, as well as the Democratic Party, should start focusing on the Maga masses, as without them Trump would be just a raving senseless clown. All influential Democrats, including Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, should be talking directly to them, inviting them to come back to the pro-America fold. Quite likely, not many of them will heed the call back to reason, but some of them just might and a well-concerted effort is surely worth the try.

Stop barking at the wrong tree, America. The real enemy of American Democracy is NOT that narcissistic, sociopath, insidious, Fascist, demagogue called Donald Trump. The real enemy of our Democracy is that mass of fellow Americans who have sadly and tragically fallen under the spell of that despicable, nefarious pied piper. Without them, Donald Trump is just a raving, narcissistic clown.

Vote Democrat in November. Anyone voting Republican is, consciously or ignorantly, casting a vote in favor of autocracy.
