Reggae has never been a passion for me. I have occasionally enjoyed listening to Bob Marley's music in the past, particularly when I was living in Paris around 1981 and a friend handed me a cassette tape containing some of his Reggae classics, but not much more than that.

Coincidence made it that I found myself wanting some entertainment this past Friday the 22nd and that there was a Reggae group called "One Aim" playing that night at one of the bars in my neighborhood. I went there and, after listening to a couple of songs over a glass of Rosé, got out of the bar, walked the half block that separated me from my bungalow to go fetch my digital recorder, and came back to the bar to capture some of the music.

The following day, while I was listening to some of the songs I recorded, I found myself thinking that going to listen to those guys and dancing to their music had been the very right thing to do. Those guys were indeed good at what they did. In fact, I liked their music so much that now I hold Reggae in a much higher esteem than I ever did.
