Beijing’s 2008 Olympic Games were well orchestrated. On that occasion, it was not the Olympic Mascot that symbolized the event, but the Olympic Stadium. On November 4th 2010 I took the Beijing subway and went to the Olympic grounds to take a few shots of it.
On my way to the stadium, I stopped at one of the local Wal-Marts and bought some things to take home, but the Cabernet Sauvignon from the Pays D’Oc, the Danish Blue Cheese and the Italian-style bread didn’t make it home intact. I sat down at an outdoor café and had a taste of them as I watched people go by.
The Chinese like large, wide-open spaces. Beijing's Olympic grounds are definitely that.
