I spent three weeks in California in August of 2007. I had been away for some 16 months and it felt really good to be back. The sun was shining from dawn to dusk most of the time during my visit, except for a couple of days when we had cloudy skies. Overall, however, it was the perfect weather to drive up and down the California roads in a red convertible Mustang.

Three weeks was enough time for me to visit all my favorite places: The Mussel Shoals in Santa Barbara, The Vedanta Center in Montecito, The Beach Side Café in Goleta, The Moss Beach Distillery in Half Moon Bay, The Vedanta Center in Olema and others.

Of course, an essential part of the fun in visiting most of those places was to do it in the company of my friends Linda, Hélène and Joe.
